​Higher Diploma Pro​gram in Drug Control Strategies

Drugs are one of the chronic security challenges that pose a threat to humanity due to their economic, social, security, and health damage. It is one of the most complex phenomena, and based on its role in meeting national and regional needs for capacity building in the scientific priorities of the university, which includes drug control, the establishment of the Higher Diploma in Drug Control Strategies program came in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), which is compatible with International standards concerned with combating drugs and crime and sustainable development goals. The introduction of the program also comes in an effort by the university to contribute to filling the gap in the knowledge and skills training of security personnel in the field of modern control methods and comprehensive strategic planning for combating and preventing drugs.​

1 Special admission requirements

  • Bachelor's degree as a minimum from an accredited university with a general grade of no less than Good in the fields of knowledge that the admission committee deems appropriate.



2 Program Goals

  • Strengthening the proactive capabilities of law enforcement agencies in reducing the supply and demand for drugs, taking the necessary preventive measures, implementing appropriate interventions to protect individuals, the environment and the local commun
  • Preparing specialized cadres in the field of drug control who have the ability to face contemporary challenges and anticipate the future, and provide them with the latest knowledge and proactive, guidance and awareness skills necessary to protect society
  • Preparing specialized cadres capable of drawing up anti-drug policies, planning their strategies, and designing their programs with high quality and international standard in light of the United Nations strategies and directions.

  • Developing proactive solutions according to modern scientific methodology for drug prevention.
  • Applying drug control practices and mechanisms in the field.
  • Ability to formulate policies and build drug control strategies.
  • Modern strategic management in combating drugs and designing, planning, implementing and measuring their impact.
  • Analyzing the factors leading to the spread of drug-related crimes, and reading the data and behavioral and environmental indicators that reflect them.
  • Applying the latest technologies and practices in combating drugs.
  • The ability to analyze, evaluate and invest in international studies and reports in the fight against drugs.
  • Familiarity with the foundations and modern trends in drug control, its procedures, tools, and programs, and familiarity with the necessary knowledge related to the risk factors that lead to or help the emergence of drug crime and the factors that prevent

Forensic sciences are one of the most important applied forensic sciences that the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences has given attention to since its inception. This is because they are the most important tool in criminal investigation and the administration of justice. The university began with the name "Forensic Laboratories", and then the College of Forensic Sciences. Recently, and in line with the university's strategy and ongoing development projects, these sciences have been placed under the umbrella of the College of Criminal Justice in an independent department that seeks to provide outstanding academic programs in the Diploma, Master's, and Doctorate levels in various specializations of forensic sciences.
